These birds are so cool even if they don't know what colour to be. how many pictures do you take to get how many keepers ? if he hard to shoot? I shot about 100 pics of this guy, about 90 keepers. I study their habits quite a bit so I can pretty much anticipate what they are going to. Haha.. define...

Yes, I think your limitation was not having enough reach on your lens. The 105mm has got that extra advantage over a 50mm in situations like this. Your pics are still very sharp and well exposed.

Not too difficult Doctor! Caught the grasshopper after seeing where it landed as it flew past me. Brought into my house and placed on one of the plants in my lounge.
