Re: What to do next?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: If sony would drop the obsessions with smallest/lightest/fastest, stopped trying to be one step ahead of where the opposition aren't going, and just concentrated on good, reliable cameras in a coherent system, they'd have a lot more happy users. I had a ch...

Fantastic. Was ever a weapon of war so beautiful?

Beautiful! I know any new arrival is wonderful, but I appreciate them being born at this time of year, as I have a son and a grandson who graced us with their presence around Christmas!

Re: Sony planning first "non-Bayer" Sensor
I have a suggestion for Sony: Instead of working on esoteric stuff, make good cameras that work, that people want, at sensible prices.

Excellent detail on the dug, and great atmosphere on the beach shot. Very impressive!

Producing a product that is "Apple-esque" isn't necessarily a good thing.
Apple are mostly hype, and over-rated. You just have to look at the sheep at their product launches & releases.

I could never get my head round why Sony brought out two identical cameras, one with no AA filter and one with. On the test pics, there was some obvious moire from the 7r, but I could not see a dramatic improvement in IQ. If they had made one body with a switchable filter, then they wouldn't have b...

Re: A580 diff exposure settings between ovf and liveview
There should be no difference between rear screen and rear screen + eye piece cover, as the viewfinder has an eyepiece blind. The difference must be down to the metering source.

It truly is God's Own Country. The only thing it lacks is a desert, and I suppose Cumbernauld is a pretty good substitute!Birma wrote:Very nice boats everyone, but the Cal Mac does it for me every time
