Re: Old Photo Adverts...
Sony should bring back sexy into their camera ads. Thanks for those gems. I remember the "Photo Camel" website. It's gone too.

Re: Old Photo Adverts...
Thank you for this post. I enjoyed seeing the KM 7D ad. This camera was my first digital SLR. My copy still works perfectly. It is a cherished item in my collection. What has happened to this forum? I check it out everyday. There are no more new posts. Maybe, I'm in the dark about another website or...

Re: Blood Moon Eclipse 5-15-2022
Sury,
Thanks for your feedback. There were problems, with atmospheric smoke from a nearby wild fire and haze. I used DxO software to get beyond the haze and eliminate noise. I was using the Sony remote-commander RMT-DSLR2, while I swatted off mosquitoes.

Re: Back to SLR thoughts and ramblings
Yes, it does remind me of Minolta, like a 7D on steroids. I like it, except for the lack of stabilization and weather sealing. The price isn't too steep. I would want lenses with stabilization. I don't care about any video. The camera could be a lot cheaper without video. Nikon lenses are more expen...

Re: Looking back was some times better
I'm still satisfied with my A-57. I usually only shoot raw. Size of sensor only hinders cropping. I'm not into printing large prints. Sony 7S e-mount cameras have 16 mp sensors. It's the digital image, not the size. Even my 7D's mp6 image is wonderful. I can use, with an adapter, accessories for mir...

Re: Shooting in the dark
Nice take, but I'd like to know the story. You know, the gear, event, & the song, what ever. it's a pic with a story. It made me think of David strumming in a pub. This is Wyoming's pub? I'm just thinking.

Challenge to David Kilpatrick
Hadrian and Antoine walls roman britain.jpg I love to read about history. I even have a subscription to Pocketmags and David Kilpatrick's magazine. I read a story about Rome's walls in Britain. I noticed on a map, that there was a fort along the Antonine Wall, called "Old Kilpatrick." I d...

Say Hello to my little friend
I thought, that I would share my shot of the green cabbage worm, who was munching on a yellow pepper. Can a Caterpillar smile? Shot with a Sony a350, and a Minolta 100 mm AF macro D lens.

Re: Future of A mount
Not sure if this helps but the only good third party cell I've used is the 2-Power NP400 I bought it from Duracell direct years ago, it's working like a champ and easily as good as the originals. Still going strong I tried many others Patona (didn't last long) and some from China/eBay again they ju...

Re: Future of A mount
I like the grip for the 7D, because it has an adapter for 6-AA batteries. I know the batteries add more weight and it's inconvenient, but it's impossible to find the OEM batteries and the after-market batteries, like those from Watson, don't last long enough. Now, I have a charger, that will recharg...
