Re: Some Bugs :)

Hi Matt - I like #1 and #3 best. I like the composition of the bee buzzing off in to the distance, leaving the (lavendar?) blooms behind. The Snail "eyes" are spooky, but I like the picture none the less.

Re: Hi my photoblog

Hi hanafinoor - A great gallery with some really lovely pictures. I particulalry like the last giraffe shot with giraffes of all shapes and sizes in a group, and the the flowing water shots of the stream - great stuff :D Thanks for posting the links (and welcome to the forum).

Re: Get rid of power cables crossing the photo

Hi wormy1 - I think you did a good job of removing the power lines. A good topic to raise as it has got some excellent replies. I'm sure a lot of us will be trying these methods now.

Re: Mirror lens

A link for all you moon shooters http://mirrorlens.blogspot.com/2007/09/ ... -5008.html . This site (also interesting for mirror reflex info. in general) mentions an interesting technique of "stacking". Anyone else tried this?

I Like shots #1 and #2 Bossel - not 'much-room' for anything else in the frame there

Lovely shots Bossel. #1 is also my favourite, very atmospheric. A perfect afternoon; coffee, good food, beautiful scenery, and a camera :D .

Re: B&W Cat

Great shots Don and Zeb. There is so much detail in those shots I can feel my cat allergy coming on  I'd like to put a vote in for Måns - I really like the pattern in his fur and the contrast of this with the yellow eyes.

Re: Vapour Trails at Dusk

Thanks chaps. It was very cloudy this evening meaning no more sunset pics so I'll stick with no. 3. I guess "less" is often "more" when it comes to PP.

Re: Vapour Trails at Dusk

Ok, attempt three. I have re. PP'd the first shot. Less PP and cooler looking, more like the second but hopefully less noise.

I think I'll only be happy once I go and re-shoot. Lets hope for clear skies tonight

Re: Vapour Trails at Dusk

Thanks for your comments chaps. The first shot (ISO100) does look cleaner. Perhaps I'll have to start leaving the tripod in the car (until I get th a700 v4 with amazing ISO1600 :D .) I did try the noise reduction in IDC3 but after doing it I could suddently see what all of the "watercolour"...

Re: homeward bound.

Lovely photos, thanks for sharing your commute home - with all of those fabulous photo opps does it add much time on to the daily commute? :) The church is amazing, as the Doc said, I would have thought you were in Eastern Europe with that design of church. I think my favourites are the pumpkins (#1...

Vapour Trails at Dusk

Driving home this evening the sun had set invisibly in the murk and mist, but it was still highlighting an interesting set of vapour trails left in the sky - it sure looks busy up there. I had the camera in the car and so I tried a few shots, and this one seemed to work best. Tam 17-50/2.8: ISO100, ...

Re: Lighthouses

Lovely Lighthouse photo Sonolta. Great with all of the sailing craft around the harbour. Those seats are high up! Multiple types of photo opportunity from one venue (and perhaps seat?) - brilliant.
