Re: Photo Books - Have been busy

I thoroughly enjoyed viewing your photo book and the lovely images. It brought back many memories of my one and only visit to Venice in 2008 to attend a photo workshop. What a great way to record the trip too.

Thanks for sharing.

Just returned from a week in Tuscany and would like to add my congratulations on your win. A great picture and a very worthy winner.

Cheers.

All of those links are PRIVATE, so we cannot see them
Ooops! Apologies to all. Have changed them to "Public" so hope they now work.

Perhaps programming the VCR is easier after all.

Provence- Horses and other things

In July I spent a week at a workshop in Provence which included spending a morning photographing white horses in the Camargue. A posting from Birma (challenge 10 in Photo Challenge) prompted me to add links to the Provence photos of my Flickr account. I know I am repeating myself but for me posting ...

Yildiz. With the exception of the "boss" all the riders wore red patterned shrits. The patterns varied and I don't know if this was just tradition or badges of rank or status. Our farm thread is inreasingly turning into a horse farm with your contribution. To try and even-up the balance of...

Here come the cowboys! Well not quite as they were herding horses.

Re: Coloured band on image

Yildiz and David

Many thanks for your input and reassurance. My efforts to clear my field of view at the time were not as thorough as they might have been. A lesson learned.

Coloured band on image

Recently I was in the Camargue and spent some time photographing the white horses and I attach one of the images I took. To take this I was standing in what is best described as a swamp. The herd of horses ran back and forth splashing through a large pool of muddy water and as you can see caused muc...

And now for something different…………….but I hope within the theme of the challenge.

Rarotonga, Cook Islands. Sadly no beautiful blue skies or azure blue seas on this trip.

Yildiz, Great to have you back.

Re: Venice old and new

Here are some numbers. Harvey. Thanks for the information particularly on data transfer. I took the plunge and purchased the Samsung N110 that replaces the NC10. So far it has met all my expectations for it. Even with just 1gb RAM it seems to cope very well with the very basic editing in PSE6 of JP...

Re: Watercolour Look

What a lovely image. I also would like to know how you have achieved the effect. I have played around with the watercolour and water paper filters in CS3 and really like the effects you can achieve but have not even got close to what you have achieved. I hope you won't mind me posting a couple of my...

Re: Venice old and new

MarcoC. I use a small Samsung NC-10 netbook, which is very nice and compares well to the Asus models It is the Samsung that I have been most tempted to buy especially as they have now introduced the NC110. My main use will be as a backup for the Jobo GigaOne when I am travelling so that I have at le...

Re: Venice old and new

David I got a good one today, can't post it (no raw processing on my Asus for A900 files) - gondola, couple, gondolier, perfectly framed by freshly laundered sheets hanging out along the little rio. Our best selling Venice pix are of washing hanging out. I am interested to note that on your trip to ...
