Re: Deformed Photo Subject with Sony 18-200mm
Wow, that's some haze effect Yildiz, it looks like the photos were taken through a sheet of ripple glass...we've got one of the brightest and hot sunlights around and I've never seen a mirage/haze anything like that bad in any of my building shots. Only thing that I can think of that might contribu...

Re: Deformed Photo Subject with Sony 18-200mm
I was baffled to see these deformed lines and contours when I took photos with a different sample of Sony 18-200mm only a few minutes ago. My Sony 18-200mm never showed such deformations, though I was agitated with its tendency to show excessive purple fringing. Can someone who has seen this in a l...

Re: horse's paradise
I found this traditional orchard 10 bike-minutes away from my home. It was cloudy that morning and the light not as accentuated as I would have hoped for, but it turned out to really support that soft mood. And the next day rain set in and all that beautiful blossoms were swept to the ground. Lesso...

Re: Beach Huts
Nothing like breaking our 'three beach huts per post' rule with a vengeance, eh? Oops, sorry - I came over all "Sonolta" for a moment. (no offence Don). I must admit that I thought it was a server side restriction that you had put on a while ago following some 'lively discussions'. I wil ...

Re: Beach Huts

It keeps you warm and dry from the wind and rain. You never been on holiday on the North Sea coast? It isn't like Queensland.Greg Beetham wrote:They look nice, but what exactly does a beach hut do for you if you rent one?

I tooke several very succesfull photo's when I first purchased the lens 3 months ago.....now the c...

Re: Newbie Help - Studio Flash and hotshoes
I was hoping to avoid paying the silly money Sony want for a pc socket. I had seen the cheap hong kong hotshoes and was considering running it with a Wein inline safe sync (£50 and not £140) You could always get one of those cheepy radio triggers of ebay - that way you seperate camera from flash an...

Anti trust? The National Trust is an independant charity, not linked to government in any way. http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-trust/w-thecharity.htm Well, just off the top of my head, anti because they are anti freedom of expression, anti freedom of artistic endeavour and anti freedom too c...

Re: Roman Wall
This anti trust lot you have there David, just who/what are they? appointees, members of an exclusive Government supported club, were they elected to the positions they hold, or borne into it? What qualifications and authority do they posess exactly? If there is some sort of transgression who is it...

Re: landscapes
at work mine look very blue and yours look almost sepia toned. As this is not disimilar to what I am seeing, perhaps your work monitors are nearer the correct than your home one. Have you looked at David's calibration image on the two machines to see which one looks most natural? They look pretty g...

Re: landscapes
As you suggest - the dog one looks too blue to me.aster wrote:Your thoughts please? So I can judge if we are seeing the tints of colour differently due to our monitor settings.
Your chipmonk ones on the other hand look too red/warm, and also rather heavy/dark.
