First roll of film through a Canon AE-1
I have become the repository of unwanted and undervalued cameras in my circle of friends, and this means when my future brother-in-law found his dad's Canon AE-1 with FD 50mm f/1.4, it came to me. Over the course of a year I casually used up a roll of film in it, until I got to around frame 28 and I...

At first I didn't know what you were talking about, and then I searched my own photos for black and whites and, sure enough, they're there:

Re: Exhibit your B&W shots
It's a somewhat guarded smile you captured, Sury, but she is very radiant! @Kevin: is the scooter a popular method of transportation where you live? Here it's especially popular with teenagers and people who work in very crowded areas (like I do). It is not an especially popular means of transportat...

There are some great shots in here! It's no wonder I see black-and-white shots spilling over into the other exhibit threads!

Vietnam War Photographer Exhibits Neglected Collection
Photographer Charlie Haughey has revisited his long-neglected cache of over 1000 negatives from the Vietnam war. They're amazing photographs, and you can view selections of them on Flickr and Tumblr , among other places. His collection available on Boston.com seems to have many pictures that the oth...

Re: Sony 35mm f/1.8 DT SAM ( SAL-35F18 ) with LA-EA2 on NEX-
I tried my SAL-35F18 on an NEX-7 at a store using the LA-EA1 (different adapter, I know), but it performed very well. Not lightning fast to focus, but quick enough. With the LA-EA2, I imagine it could only get better. BTW, I used the SAL-35F18 on a 12 MP camera for years and it was sharp, but never ...

Re: Landscape 2013
These black-and-white landscapes are enchanting, fellas. Keep 'em coming! Yes, Doc. Though having seen it at two extremes now, I feel like I can go look for other beautiful places around here. Here's a shot my wife took while we were there at low tide: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8237/8557488917_b...

Re: Landscape 2013
Thank you! The second and third were on the same day, at extreme low tide before and after sunset. The third was on another day with John and Ian. I inadvertently pulled an epic bait-and-switch on them.
