Re: More From Scotland
Thanks David. That other dimension would be the lobby of the Old Course Hotel. I used the 14mm Tamron for the bunker shots because of the Old Course's reputation for famous bunkers. They do not disappoint. http://www.pbase.com/jstaylor/image/125049482.jpg Neither does the lens (except for some flari...

Thanks Yildiz.
More doorway, gates, and alley images coming at you. The country has more than it's share.

Re: St. Andrews Walking Tour
Thanks Birma. I send the unit back tomorrow. I will miss it. Have not finished thinking about it yet but here is what I have so far. The camera- it is fun to use but heavy. The resolution knocked me over when I looked at some of the images last night on my home computer. More computing horsepower wo...

Re: St. Andrews Walking Tour
Thanks Yildiz. Regarding the a900 and the 24-70, I must admit that I see the difference and like it very much. The lens was an outstanding performer. It makes the a700 shine as well. You are correct about the 3rd image. It is just enough off that one cannot help but notice it. However, I kept it for...

St. Andrews Walking Tour
Hate to show all these touristy shots but what the heck. It is beautiful St. Andrews. Get ready for many posts of St. Andrews, Edinburgh, and their surrounding golf courses. Took over 400 images. This will take a while. BTW, most shots will be with the a900 and the Zeiss 24-70 (both of which were re...

Re: An evening on the Great Salt Lake.
Really enjoying your work in this thread Lonnie. I am traveling next week and want to do some landscape photography. I am renting the a900 and the ZA 24-70. What is your camera set up? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
JT

Re: Dilapidation
The narrow DOF hurts the 2nd image. All the others are solid efforts and would get my juices flowing as well. It's always rewading to find subjects within the object.

Re: An evening on the Great Salt Lake.
The last 2 are magical. For me, the 1st image has a dominant foreground that is overwhelming. Very close but not quite up to the result of the last 2.
