Re: Best of 2013

That's a brilliant shot. I really love how the color of the flowers gives way to the mist in the distance.

Re: Tokina AT-X 11-16 F/2.8 type-II

I haven't used the lens yet due to my concerns over how it was acting. Thanks for the info on how other Tokina lenses act on Sony cameras. What bugs me is that B&H claims that the body switch doesn't need to be used and they also claim it has an internal silent motor. Tokinas press release makes...

Re: Tokina AT-X 11-16 F/2.8 type-II

Well, I just received an RMA from B&H. Funny thing was that I was really hoping to enter into dialogue with them to see if I understood correctly what was going on with the lens vs. what I understood the product listing to say. Instead they send me an RMA. Not sure what to do. I understand this ...

Re: Exhibit your B&W shots

Thanks.

The avatar pic came while I was messing around with my reverse mount adapter. Shot a couple of pics of the body cap while checking out the dof and I really like that one.

Re: Best of 2013

Nice shots Marcell. I really like the girl and violin, probably because it reminds me of my daughter at that age. My Aunt with Down's syndrome in a moment of contented repose. To get a good posed shot of her is near impossible and has been for her entire life. Either the communication breaks down or...

Re: Sony planning first "non-Bayer" Sensor

My Sony cameras work. It's only the guy using my cameras that doesn't have a clue. I love the quotes. Just like when Sony A77 used the 24mp. comments on dpreview where mostly about the "overkill" and noone would need that many MP. I hope whatever Sony comes up with as sensor is put to use ...

Re: Treasure in the snow

Glad you liked it. I was using a Sony a580 with the Sony 16-80 zeiss lens reverse mounted to the camera. Because it was reverse mounted, some of the exif data is meaningless or missing so I'm not sure what the f-stop was, nor do I know for sure teh focal length. I believe that these shots wee all ta...

Tokina AT-X 11-16 F/2.8 type-II

I recently purchased the Tokina AT-X 11-16 F/2.8 type-II lens Sony alpha mount. It uses a clutch system to switch between AF and MF on the lens. One simply pulls back on the focus ring and the lens is now in MF. There is no need to switch the camera switch from AF to MF according to Tokina's website...
