No, better, the 10-1000mm f/2.8 G SSM, with incorporated In-lens Steady shot which gets activated from 600mm to 1000mm while deactivating the in body SSS.

Ah yes, I was initially interested in that one ... but could find parking for the crane to carry it :)

There's that rumour that Nikon were looking at building a medium format DSLR, and Sony were getting sortof interested in proceedings, but it would need a new lens mount...maybe they could licence Leica's S mount, oh and a whole new batch of lenses....hmmmm maybe not, at least for a while, anyway it looks like Nikon have circled the wagons on that one as well.
Greg
ps On a different tack, I see that the new 16-35 CZ f2.8 will be in stock at B&H in Jan..... I also was having a snoop online at an Oz camera dealer, and they have the same lens listed as "low stock"....yeah right.

Three rumors from a usually knowledgeable Israeli photograph

Unread post by Yagil Henkin »

(that is, he was correct several times before if I remember correctly). He said that there are 3 camera in the pipeline. Names, of course, are not binding and are for the sake of the discussion.
- A800 (or whatever name) which would be an A900 with a 12mp D3 Sensor (said to be already in test runs, and he said he saw pics).
A700x1, Same sensor as the current but with LV and Video.
A700X2, 16Mp FF on an A700 body, no LV, no Video, but with AF and speed improvements.
I have no idea whatsoever what is true, and he said that the pipeline may be slowed for the A700X's due to the economic situation, but If it happens to be true, I'd want the last one please.

A FF sensor on/in an A700 body? it would need to have the mirror box and shutter from the A900, and a larger OVF of some sort as well, so there might not be much left of the original A700 bod after all the mods, but yeah a 16MP FF sensor sounds interesting just the same, especially if there is no LV or Video.

Hi,

Be they what they are, just rumours, I'd like an Alpha with LV+High Deifinition Video if there's such a DSLR design in the pending. A couple of days ago when shooting a certain subject I realized that I missed V3's versatility for that certain moment. Alongside other FF bodies to arrive, if incorporated wisely and with an articulate design, video and liveview would enhance and expand a part of my interest in photography.

If any brand, Sony can do the incorporated design much better.
The other FF options look attractive also..
