I did happen to see a TV ad for the Nex last night. At the end of it, they showed a line-up of Sony photo products, including a DSLR.

An a700, an a550 and couple of a580s, plus even more lenses (Zeiss included!).

One for the girls (if there are any around here)
http://ashton.nikonusa.com/Coolpix/nikon-ads.aspx

Hiring Ashton seems to have worked wonders for Nikon, well for female buyers. I'd say he's getting a few $$ for those ads as well.

Speaking as the ultra sceptic I am, I am completely immune to all forms of advertising even hot girls licking a camera would have no effect on my purchasing choices.
But it opens up one point on this

Serious ads or
Funny non serious ads

Which is better which is more effective?
