The sample I used today was about the same colour as the 70-200mm, maybe more white less cream and a different texture finish, but had a big steel ring on the front! That is not part of the final spec...

Holy that ring looks nickel plated over copper! damn good thing you didn't get poisoned and die right there in their show...
Did we every really find out for sure if the grip sensor elimination was due to nickel content? (it's been a bee in my bonnet since I first heard that rumour)

Don't forget that this is taking place in Scotland so obviously they will show/exhibit a model intended for Europe. Maybe elsewhere it will be included.
