Macro twin flash

Unread post by Lobo »

Can anyone offer me guidence on using Sony's twin flash. Have had some good results with this unit, but never seem to get consistant results. I liked my old AF1200 much better; it alwys gave predictable results.

Sony's twin flash requirs that the flashes are angled correctly for the mag ratio; I just never seem to get this right - and yes I've experimented. Maybe one of you guys has a tried and tested method?

I've also been looking at Sigma's ringflash; pricey, but on paper appears to be comparable with the AF1200 or there is Marumi's version, which seems pretty basic (no focusing lights, only one flash tube), but a lot cheaper. Anyone any thoughts on these?

No problems with it, so far. I used it in different situations.
