Is it possible to trigger the minolta 5600 wirelessly with the A77 -not used flash for a long while (lost instruction manual for flash gun as was hoping to try linking with the manual and see if it worked )
any advise or details on how to set up appreciated ,all i can remember is it involved putting the flash gun on the camera to set it up??

Yes it will work fine, that's how I have set wireless flash put it on the hot shoe, set WL flash in camera and it's done. I know some third party flashes let you set the WL mode on the flash as well as on the camera. It's been so long since I used the 5600 I can't remember if you can set it on the flash.
