Re: RAW or cRAW
Simple, if you have the card and HD space, shoot RAW not cRAW. There is no real difference that I have ever been able to see, but technical experts tell there is a very slight loss of overall dynamic range - a fraction of a stop, which hardly matters. If you want to save card space (shoot more pix per card) and final HD space, shoot cRAW.
What's more useful - an infinitesimal gain in quality and highlight recovery/shadow detail, or getting 25% more images before you change cards or buy a new storage HD?

Re: Raw or cRaw
ARW Raw takes more space on the memory card than ARW cRaw ... but for those who convert their raw files to DNG please note that a DNG created from an ARW Raw is smaller than a DNG created from an ARW cRaw! So in the end, ARW Raw takes less space in the archive.
And the cRaw compression is not lossless ... but the losses are absolutely insignificant for all practical intents and purposes.
