Re: Landscape 2014
I love the lighting on the sunset. And I enjoy the colors of the sunrise. Very nicely done.

Very nice panorama, there the_hefay.
The sunrise is much more dramatic to me, viewfinder.

Love that panorama Valery (as I mentioned on Flickr ) it must have been an amazing sight, and perhaps sound?

Re: Landscape 2014
It is the Easter Holidays for us, and we are on the wonderful Isle of Skye again to visit family. I was lucky with some lovely dawn light this morning. I have taken a lot of pictures in this area, but it was the first time I had followed one particular path which took me alongside the Sligachan River. I enjoyed getting some new perspectives on a familiar view. This is a combination of some long exposure shots as I wanted to smooth out the river in sympathy with the smooth and fluffy sky

Valery, nice picture and video of the ice jam. We had a pretty bad one here last month that flooded out several houses in the area.
Birma, WOW! that is simply stunning. I need to go there someday.

Nice Skye shot, Birma. But do you have a spare bottle of Talisker for my considered opinion?

Thank you Sury, Valery, The Hefay, Tony and Greg
Tony - I have the bottle of Talisker, but it is open - you'll have to hurray before it is all gone
Another shot from the same morning as above. At this point in the glen the river was wide and therefore very shallow. I was able to wade across to a dry-ish point in the centre of the river to get the angle I wanted looking at Marsco, one of the Red Cuillin hills. The early morning sun was just hitting the flank of the mountain and there was some nice colour in the sky. I was once again pleased to find my tripod with camera fixed on top made a handy walking pole - you can be sure that progress was slow across the slippy stones!

Sadly the weather today on Skye has been a total wash out. Forecast bodes well for tomorrow though . The lambs are starting to be born on the croft here. What a welcome for them - wind gusting in the high twenties and torrential rain. Poor things.

Re: Landscape 2014
Very nice indeed Birma, and top marks for the courageous effort in the dawn icy water, I do love that smoking volcano effect it really enhances the scene. (I’m guessing there was a very large EV range bright/dark, and probably WB too at the time, looking at the dark face on the right)
