Very nice, a tad noisy but as a memory keeper, it serves well.

Here is one from my Canon G16 not long ago. I ran into this man in a park walking with his pet pigeon. :)

I forgot to mention that I accidentally shot this in HDR mode which takes 3 shots in quick succession at different exposures and then merges them in camera -- with the G16 you don't have to use a tripod since it does automatic alignment. I didn't mean to use HDR mode, but I had forgotten to change the camera back to normal mode before I took the photo. Fortunately, he and the bird were perfectly still (the 3 photos get taken really fast, maybe a total of 1 second) and the air was still so no leaf movement. Fortunately, it is very sharp and even on my computer I could not find any movement or blur. Very sharp.

Henry,
I wonder what prompted him to have a Pigeon as a pet. Perhaps HDR setting might have saved the image too. We could see
the eyes under the hat which otherwise would have been under shadows. It was a good accident that happened. :)

Yeah, I thought it was a bit odd too. :) Yes, because of the DR the HDR worked out fine. Glad everything was perfectly still.

Hi ValeryD,

Very nice indeed. Amazing details... :) And the workshop environment was neat, especially the colours.

Just a tiny inquiry about Galaxy Note III : Is it weather and waterproof enough?

Thanks for sharing,

Yildiz

Thank you for the info, ValeryD. :D

I'll take a look. My Samsung sometimes worried me about its waterproof intactness... SONY has some XPERIAs that look very ensuring after the dipping / soaking tests. I'll be happy if Samsung measures up to the same standards.

Lovely blue in that pool and apparently a neat competition...although, I do think that indoor pools aren't doing justice to the canoeing. : )

Thanks for sharing, looks like you had some fun with some tiny toys too. : )

Nice pool shot and the keyboard shot too. Comparing with your A77m2 which are good by the way,
the smart phone is no slouch either. For the right type of photos, your smart phone is as good
as a dslr. Wow. Who would have thought that way just few years ago. I wonder if my Samsung
Galaxy 6 also has a camera that is as good as yours.

I'm not sure about Galaxy S6 or S7, as people on the forums say - Samsung has best camera in Galaxy Note 3 or 4 or 5 . Actually Samsung Galaxy Note 5 should have the best camera for today. You can check and compare photo and video from almost all phone on link I left before.
PS. And combination a77m2 + DT 35/1.8 (sharpness and other) in second position after Sigma 35/1.4 art according to DxO...

http://www.dxomark.com/Reviews/Best-len ... ony-A77-II
Best standard prime: Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM A
Four of the 20 prime models tested fall into the standard category (45-50mm equivalent), with the hugely popular Art series Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG HSM A available with native Sony mount pitched against three Sony models. With a smaller image circle and lighter-weight build, the two DT models are competitively priced as well as big on performance, particularly the DT 35mm f1.8 SAM. At just $325, this model is in second place to the Sigma, and even has the highest peak sharpness of the group.
Although the Sigma’s peak sharpness is lower than expected, sharpness is good from the initial aperture centrally at least, and improves on stopping down, mainly in the outer field. However, the Sony DT 35mm 1.8 SAM and the full-frame Sony 35mm f1.4 G perform as well or slightly better in terms of sharpness when stopped down. The high-speed G series Sony has excellent sharpness across the frame at f/5.6, but it comes at price. With very high lateral chromatic aberration at all apertures and a hefty $1369 ticket, it’s not as easy to recommend as the Sigma, or even the slower Sony DT model.
