Re: Flowers 2016
I am leaving for Macchu Picchu in couple of days. I went with A77M2 route for Macchu Picchu. Wanted to lighten the load. I am taking CZ16-80 with me based on the recommendation on the forum. Not lugging around my 70-400 this time. Hopefully I don't regret it.

Re: Flowers 2016
Ah, it was Peru, not Cuba, I was thinking of. A77M2 and the 16-80 will be an awesome combo. I can understand you not wanting to lug around the 70-400; it is a beast. If you think you may want some extra range over 80mm then I would suggest something such as the Sigma 70-300 f4/5.6 APO DG Macro. Cheap, especially second hand. Relatively small and lightweight (for A mount). Great IQ, although probably will not win any AF prizes. Handy macro ability. I remember that DK was (is?) very fond of his copy.
With those two lenses and the A77M2 I think you would be set for pretty much anything.

Re: Flowers 2016
Unfortunately my Sigma70-300 died with af gear stripped down. I am taking a 28-200 Tamron that is in "stock pile".
Hopefully a tad more reach but it is not 300mm FL. It is now too late to acquire any new lens.

The Tammy will give you some more reach for sure. Sounds like a plan!

Welcome back Andy and great shots of the forest flowers.
I'm not sure what this flower is called. I came across it last week in central Oregon.

May 1st and so I had to go and check to see if the Indian paintbrush were blooming yet. Not only were they getting started, but so was the prairie phlox.

Those are beautiful shots Andy, and I think they do a great job of illustrating the coming forth of spring.

Nice orchids Birma!
Finally I've also found few in Germany. It's too early though. Maybe I will go back next week:
Cheers

Thanks Marcell
I like the dramatic light in your orchid pictures.
We've had some real sunshine and warmth this week and the change is amazing. I went back to this same wild flower meadow today and it was covered in these orchids. Pictures later!

I'm looking forward to your new pictures!
Re: Flowers 2016
I like your pictures of flowers. A little jealous, but now there is wildflowers. Real spring comes only. Only crocus and some pictures from Cuba. But it's all change.
Everything in the life unusual!
