Hang Gliding

Unread post by the_hefay »

I've always been fascinated by hang gliding but never have done it. However, I did get to watch a hang glider in action today above Dayton, WY in the Big Horn Mtns. Here's a couple of shots from his flight.

The first one is when he found a thermal and spiraled back toward the mountain and gained some elevation. The last one is just before he landed. It was a perfect landing near as I could tell.

Must be quite a feeling to be up there in all that silence.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice set Jeff. The images capture the space very nicely. Gave me a sense of openness
of the place. Which lens you used for these shots?

JT, it's a great feeling just standing on the edge. I'm sure that the flight was quite peaceful.
Sury, I used the Sony 16-80cz for the first two and the Tamron 70-300 for the other three.
