I decided to start a new topic, since from the crop cameras I only have Sony a300. Old lady A300 with SAL1680Z continues to amaze with its quality of images.

Beautiful colours with detail clarity, ValeryD.
I appreciate your photo compositions and the location selections.
I never owned an A300 but I still have my A100 from earlier days which many users may have discarded by now in favour of more advanced cameras. I still love to shoot with my A100 because it delivers as good as your A300. The colours are always very neat with the A100 as well. Now it's only a nostalgy gear...

Re: A300 - very good camera.
Well, at the expense of nostalgia, we'll see.
Yes, the cameras are almost equivalent to the a100 and a300. The a300 has a few modifications, but the 10MP CCD is the same for the cameras.
Well, I began to use the A300 more often in winter, the camera copes well with subzero temperatures.

Quite the combo. Very sharp.
Was that more of a Minolta camera than Sony?
Regardless, the person holding the camera should get the credit.

Re: A300 - very good camera.
Yeah...
It's more Minolta true mirror camera and old style CCD sensor on it.

Since I still have A100 and even Dimage A2, I should probably charge the batteries and shoot some, just for the fun of it.

Re: A300 - very good camera.
Yes, you captured very nice images. You must have so many opportunities for good shots in winter times. I like the snow, except for driving in it. I have a 14 MP, Sony A350, with a SAL 55-200 lens. I like telephoto lenses best. I keep batteries always charged on the cameras in my collection, although the batteries drain even unused. The mirrorless cameras don't drain as fast. The flash capacitors will go bad, if not frequently flashed. My rule is: 10 flashes once a month. Although I had one popup flash o a A580 go bad even with my rule of thumb. IMHO.
KM7D, Sony A350, A580, A-700, A57, A65, A5100 , a6500 , & a7iii, plus a bunch of lenses.

Upon further review, #3 in set 1 is especially nice. Boulders are interesting subjects. Maybe you spent more time on them. I would have.
Sury, old gear might make a good blog post.

JT,
Thank you for that idea. I love it. It goes under a topic I captured (at least the title for now).

In the third shot of the last batch, I love the drifting circular ice patches and the outstanding details of the ice and foaming water around the fall. The ranging of the colour blue from dark to light is almost healing.. All of A300's goodness!
Thanks for sharing, ValeryD.

Perhaps it's time to dust off the KM5d!
