Neat shots. And I'm with Yildiz... glad that you made it to your destination safely.

My kind of snow.
One of several buckets of snow for Act I Scene III of the Nutcracker.
A99, 24-70 ZA, F3.2, 1/125, ISO 3200
The dancing snowflakes throwing the snow that they had grabbed from the buckets.
A99, 24-70 ZA, F3.2, 1/100, ISO 800
An accidental avalanche of snow on stage.
Fortunately it was during dress rehearsal.

Thanks! They deiced our plane a little before boarding, but then after we boarded there was a bit of a delay so they deiced it again. They spray some sort of rather viscous, clear liquid and it gets on the plane windows. It finally runs off though.
I especially like your shot of the ballerina in the falling "snow" -- very nice!

I love the ballerina in the snowflake avalanche too, Sig.
A lot of delicate effects ... and the avalanche makes the ballerina look like weightlessly floating in the air. Nicely captured.
The other shot of the snowflake ballerinas is nice too but maybe the audience's view wins the best angle for such a scene and the truss or drops/décor to the right of the frame steals from the beauty of the scene.
All lovely experiences for me though.
Thank you very much for sharing.
You are the backstage phantom photographer of the Nutcracker ballet.

Hi ValeryD;
These scenes carry a lot of dramatic colourization indeed with the mounted layers of snow/ice.
Thanks for sharing,

Lovely winter scene which looks almost shot in B&W if it weren't for that magically showing brown terrain in the middlle.
Even looking feels very cold.
Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

As usually, first, I looking into the picture and thinking Japan looks like Canada.
Only after than I read the name of the picture. Sure it's North America.
Lovely done the landscape.
