Ewannawe wrote:When I'm out and about with my camera in rural settings something that always captures my attention is trees, hence the topic title. I would love to see everyones take on trees, as they can be a most difficult subject to capture in the same observation that you see with your eyes.
In another thread David mentioned that images do not have to be limited to those from digital cameras, which reminded me of the time I spent in 2002-2005 attempting to capture the feel of trees in a local park under a variety of lighting situations. The following shot was taken with my Minolta X-500 camera on Fuji Reala film, and the scan was done by the mini-lab that developed and printed my film.
Here is another shot of the same type of trees in different weather conditions - immediately after a rainstorm - and in different light. Not exactly the same image, but taken from within 10 meters of the same spot as the previous image. Once again the camera was my Minolta X-500, the film was Fuji Reala, and the scan was done by the mini-lab that developed and printed my film.
I love the beach trees too, and also enjoy the 3 from rogprov but special mention for number 2.

From last weekend's walk in the woods. The wood anemones were prolific - I've never seen them like this. The trees were not as "green" as I had hoped so no IR yet.

Sorry one and all I laboriously composed a comment on each of your excellent shots and a couple of questions but lost it all due to the expiry of the web page and completely forgot to select 'copy' before submitting, (just in case one is greeted by the logon page), so it's all gone 'poof'.

ps. Tom are those Eucalyptus trees? they look like some kind of eucalypt...but that doesn't make sense.
I know how you feel Greg - that is sooo annoying - I try to remember to do a quick Ctrl-C before submitting, but it is always the time you forget that has a problem .
