These days it seems I more often see couples sitting right next to each other and each one is engrossed in texting or talking on a mobile phone while pretty much ignoring the person they are with. It must have taken true willpower or just an overpowering impulse to get this couple to put their's down for a moment. Or, on second thought, they probably have Bluetooth. Doc, great photo!

Oh, gee! Now, I have to go and sneak up on people to get them in an 'enamoured' pose ? I hope none of us gets sued for invasion of privacy, guys! : )) Though, in all these shots they are very recognizable except for the man in Doc's frame, I hope they see the sweet side of things if they come upon themselves in one photo forum on the Internet... Good shots all! : ) I'll see how discreet I can be in finding some myself....

I'm very, very careful when photographing people together. Wherever possible I try to make sure that both parties are not clearly identifiable - but it's all too easy to tell someone just from a silhouette. Even in a street scene with loads of people, it is all to easy for two people to be in the shot who should not be together!

aster wrote: I hope none of us gets sued for invasion of privacy, guys! : )) I don't suggest setting up a hidden camera in someone's home, hotel room, or other private place and taking photos. Public is not private though. I do realize that buildings, food, flowers, and landscapes are easier to shoot than people for most photographers so they usually avoid shooting people and, in fact, run screaming in the opposite direction. aster wrote: I'll see how discreet I can be in finding some myself.... Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Are people in Turkey often affectionate in public? This is at Truc Bach Lake, Hanoi, Vietnam in 2000:

It seems like I read somewhere that UK people live under the most relentless photographic surveillance of any people in the world. I think it was the UK anyway.

Love can be interpreted in many ways. Use your imagination and post some photos! Girlfriends in Florence, Italy:

These two aren't embarrassed about being in love! Waiting for the special number to be completed so they can say their vows. Attachment:

Yes, he certainly does appear to have an adoring look on his face.

This couple was having their photo taken outside a museum in Saigon. The photographer had stopped for a moment and was looking down at the LCD on his camera reviewing photos. I took that opportunity to catch the groom's pained facial expression that the photographer they were paying completely missed. Fortunately, at the same time the bride glanced my way and smiled.
