Thanks Yildiz, I decided to take some time off and do a little photography, I was getting withdrawal symptoms from not handling a camera, bloodshot eyes, slurred speach, blurred vision, wobbly balance...oh wait that could have been from what's in the ridgydidge downstairs ha ha!
Lovely flower shot Yildiz...you've still got it.

Good to have you back behind the camera, Greg! : )) From what we see from the recent photos, it was the right moment too, otherwise we'd never be able to see those lovely shots. The doctor should prescribe more of camera handling and shooting between construction, repair and house chores because there's always too many things going on in your garden!

Thank you for the kind comment on the Primrose photo. : ) Not much variety at the moment...

Hi,

Three more from the garden... :) I seem to come here only with Camellias and Viburnums at this time of the year!
But I think they still look nice for one January day... :D

Yildiz

The three happy ones.. Who cares if it says January on the 2011 calender in the Northern Hemisphere?

Lovely flower shots Yildiz, yep you sure are luckier than a lot of others in the North at the moment with flowers still blooming.

Great flower shots everybody and no surprise that Greg's garden looks very exotic :D . I like the "not sure". It gives the impression of an alien space ship in flames on entering the atmosphere - perhaps I have been reading too much sci-fi ;)

I am so envious of the primroses in Istanbul Yildiz :) . I did a very careful 'audit' of my garden yesterday and nothing showing yet. The Viburnum bushes are about to have another go after being blitzed by the snow and frost. The snowdrops are just green shoots about 1cm above the soil.

DA, I like the "Photoclubalpha Phlora" pun - we'll have to use that going forward.

Those wild flowers are pretty RandGraph47.

ps. What stadium is that gio67? it just doesn't look like the photos I've seen before of the Colosseum.

Just noticed that I had missed a whole bunch of posts earlier in the thread - so, I hope Greg is feeling better :D , and I love those Camelia and Viburnum shots Yildiz. I especially like the two Camelia flowers that seem to be talking to one another :D .

Great shots as well from RandGraph47 - really love the the Arizona desert shot - wild flowers, blue sky, mountains, it just doesn't get any better in my book. Encore!

Well, this is a bit of a cheat... as it was not an Alpha camera that I was using "back then" - BUT, we had an unusual year a couple of years ago when the California wild flowers went bonkers in profusion. Not far from my home there was a little mini-valley that exploded. I caught this scene one day on my drive home. I always wondered what the portrait being taken looked like!
