Thanks guys, yeah a blind would be good sometimes, I think one like kingfisher had is what I’d like. There was also a Spangled Drongo reasonably close yesterday and it was sitting there ok, but when I got the camera it got spooked. A lot of birds are like that, they get nervous when the see you carrying some metallic object.

awesome shots greg! and yes your garden is fast becoming a bird sanctuary :D


i went down again to the estuary and checked the ospreys, i believe they already have eggs in their nest.....it's a cloudy day yesterday, crappy lights, crappy weather, crappy shot, crapping bird! :wink:

I was trying too work out what fish it was, I think it's a large mullet, a meal for two or three Ospreys I reckon; great shot btw.

Nice one AA. Nature in the raw. The basic physics of how they catch, kill, and then lift off and fly astounds me :shock: .
