Nice shots Daniel - I agree with John with regard to really liking the last one.

Great detail Henry and a great overall 'oily' and mechanical feel.

Which one is filling which? :) It seems strange that the rail network depends on the road trucks for fuel.

Even the UK's rail operators resort to road transport to supply fuel.

Back to the topic - a couple of pictures from the land which invented railways. :D First, Britain's latest main line steam locomotive, "Tornado", passing through Bath.

Great to see trainspotting pictures from all over the world. Here is a picture I took a couple of years ago of a double header racing up the glen at a place called Dalnacardoch in the Highlands of Scotland. As it turned out I was on the "wrong" side of the over bridge for the classic shot but I got this dramatic April picture with plenty of smoke. Hope you like it.

This certainly isn't as regal as alphaomega's shot from Scotland. but here our light rail train reflected off a building as we were coming back from downtown Dallas for the car show...

Still a magestic shot alphaomega, shows lots of smoke and steam from that angle, you are lucky to have steam engines to photograph, ours are gone now except for the occasional display by some steam buffs, or stationary playground exhibit.
I like that one of yours as well John, nice looking train, looks like you were on a downslope at the time.

That steam engine does look impressive with all of the smoke, nice pic Alphaomega.

Also a cool shot from John. That train looks very modern, and an interesting view as a reflection in those equally modern looking buildings.

There are no modern trains that can touch the magic of the old steam locomotive.

Local railway museum held a Thomas the Tank engine themed event over Easter. Here are a couple of shots taken on Friday. Thay have been manipulated for a project I'm working on.
