juvenile flight

a few photographers were keeping an eye on a family of osprey near their nest along the banks of the estuary, the adults last year produced 3 healthy and active chicks.....i went out and try my luck again one cloudy day and i was alone shooting that afternoon maybe because of the weather, poor light.....the chicks were active practicing to fly that afternoon, i stood on one spot that i can see them flying out from the nest and perching to the branches.....

after 3 hours of waiting for a good shot with sunlight coming in and out behind the clouds and with an occassional drizzle, i got my take home image

Wow aa - simply stunning. Great view of those fish grabbing, opposable talons. You can also apprciate how it gets enough lift to pick large trout out of the water. I'm glad that the long wait was worth it in the end.

Brilliant!

There may be those that don't like the sight of these prey birds but they certainly deserve the respect for their fierceful looks and piercing eyes...especially the way you captured them in your photography.

One feels like getting one for a pet because of your great shots.
