I don't mind the low light shots gio67. I also like the dramatic simplicity in the B&W caporip, the others are very enjoyable as well.

Impressive shots all the way, guys!
You've put those UWA to some neat use in those frames... Portraits, architecture and vast fields, they all look especially attractive.

Fabulous UWA pictures from one and all. If anyone on the forum ever asks why they need an UWA in their kit this thread will be a fantastic answer .
Here are a couple of mine. It was tricky to track down as I don't tag based on focal length or lens and so I had to search through the archives trying to remember when I had got the UWA lens out. I'm sure I've posted them on the forum before, probably in the flower thread

Both with A700 and Tamron 11-18. Funnily enough both shot at 13mm, can't remember why!

Re: Post your UWA photos
Ultra wide angle ... , hum. the best I can go for now is 15mm on Full frame with the Old Tamron SP 2.8.
I was exploring the UWA in low light condition in very small place:
Miam miam:
Thank you very much for this idea of posting, because today I put back from the closet the Tamron, I think I had not used since a good year (using the Minolta 16mm 2.8 Fish eye instead).
Regards,
Frank

gio67, Birma, and Frank: All good shots!
Frank, yes 15mm is definitely <= 20mm on FF. I especially like those first 2 of the band.

This is a headstone at a cemetery in Tokyo with flowers and a can of beer in 1993. I took this with the Minolta Alpha 707si + Tokina 20-35mm f3.5-4.5 at 20mm.

Re: Post your UWA photos
This thread inspired me to take the Tamron 10-24 out for another spin one evening last week whilst I was away on meeting in Wales. Unfortunately, low light shooting does not play to this lens' strengths (plus I was travelling light and only had a gorrillapod for long exposure shots) so a lot of the shots came out a bit softer than I'd like - I've developed a bit of a love / hate relationship with this lens - it can be sharp when it wants to be (or when I use it correctly , but when its soft, its really soft. Also, in conditions like these you are not only dealing with accommodating distortion in the corners, you have to come up with a reasonable argument as to why you WANTED so much flare and starlight type effects in the images .
Still, a few of the shots came out fairly well..
All shots using a55 / tamron 10-24 aand were taken in the Cardiff Bay area.
10mm, f11, 1.6 second exposure
15mm f11, 6secs
11mm, f3.5, 1/4sec (iso 800)

Oh and Birma - really like the flower shots and Frank - like the low angle on the 2nd band shot and the 'Huge shoe' effect on your second batch of photos.

Re: Post your UWA photos
I like the composition of the headstone, and Scott, you make us feel like if we had done the walk with you. I like the color and the three different angle you choose.
I was lost in the long angle view since a few moment (mostly after buying the big 400mm 4.5). It is good to come back on the other side of the spectrum.
Again thanks for this good idea.
Regards,
Frank
