Birma, I like that second B&W shot of the backlit grass.

I was rather partial too the nice little meadow with the long shadows from the trees on the fringe, I didn’t mind the highlighted grass stalks but I thought they needed just a tad more darkness in the background to make them stand out more, but it’s probably more artsy the way it is.

Lots of passing showers today, not much to do after the spider incident but take a boring photo of the rain coming down in the back yard.

Thank you very much Henry and Greg. I really liked the way the sunlight looked, especially across the tall grass. I wasn't entirely convinced that I had captured it and so I appreciate the feedback. I still have a lot to learn around B&W post processing.

The garden looks nice and tidy Greg. I can almost imagine it would be nice to sit in that garcden (when the rain stoppped) but of course there is some deadly critter in each of those bushes so I'd probably have to stand there on guard with a baseball bat :D .

Ha ha Birma that’s funny, deadly critters indeed, I've often gone a whole day without seeing anything dangerous. (just joking)
At least we don’t have trapdoor spiders in my suburb the soil is too sandy I think, either that or something here eats them, Murray has them over his way though and they are big suckers.

Following DK's description of leaping from the car to catch a sunset, I remembered to put my camera in the car when setting off on the school run. The sky was quite pretty this evening as the sun went down.

A pleasant looking sky for a change there Birma. At first I thought it was very late for school out time, but then I realized it’s the short daylight part of the year.

Thanks Greg :) . It is certainly getting lighter in the evenings. I also saw some Snowdrops on the side of the road. Hope I can get out there and hunt down some flower shots this weekend.

Thanks guys, they are likeable I guess if you can put up with the guano they produce, I have to hose the front path down every two or three days.
I was thinking of designing a portable garden fertilizer unit; a bunch of them with their feet taped to a crossbar that has a spike stand under it and a feed and water trough in front, then you could just shift the assembly around the garden as required he he.
