Yildiz,
You are good at reading tea leaves too.... Certainly new lens(es) are on the horizon.
I beginning to think that A900 deserves at least one or two top notch lens mates. What
with celebrating 25 years of marital bliss this December, I think I can take some liberties with
the missus.

Now I am experimenting with square format for cropping...

Glad I'm walking on solid ground with my predictions, Sury. :D

This shot is especially spectacular and the cropping works fine with the the composistion in target. I think this particular shot is one of your best!

Happy anniversary! :D I hope that means splurging on many shiny, eye-catching gear for you.

Thanks for sharing,

Yildiz

Yildiz,
Thank you for your kind words regarding the composition. Much appreciated.
Yes, I am seriously looking 70-400 along with 24 f2 that Doc had me convinced.
I may decide to sell my Tamron 200-500 as that would not be needed as much if
I have 70-400. I am getting more and more serious about the high end lenses as my confidence
in my skills is improving, thanks to all the feedback I get here. :)

Nice to see some flowers from the other side of the pond :)

Really like that close up shot Sury. Bags of detail. Great stuff :)

Thank you. I was reading about square format
And thought it sounded like an intriguing concept.
Given that I was playing with a MF lens, I thought
Why not.

One more flower ..... I was so focused on getting the image sharp (this was with a HB 250f5.6 lens) that I did not realize
I was getting the shadow for free. This is my second capture where serendipity played a role in capturing the shadow for
a bit more drama, IMHO.

With best regards,
Sury

Sury,
Go for the glass. You will not regret it. These are investments that will last as long as you take care of them. You will also be inspired to try harder to get what the glass has to offer.
Best of luck and congratulations on your 25th year.

Thank you for the advice and a big thank you for the greetings. I shall do as advised.

With best regards,
Sury

The same with Rokinon 85/1.4 on A900 and HVL58 flash in wireless mode

I was too lazy to go upstairs and get my tripod. The flowers were in kitchen so I did a rather crude makeshift stand with a salad bowl, soup bowl and a flower vase. :) It was a good thing missus was not home at the time.

O-oh, Marcell, is that a flare/mirroring effect from the sensor adjacent to the flower on the left?

It's mirroring but the sensor has nothing to do with. I used a black acrylic plate as background and it must be some reflection.
