Very nice picture Doc and I like the idea for the thread. Hope you're keeping warm  .

Lovely ice crystals. This one is at least partially macro.

Snow crystals...then silver souvereigns...

Nice macro and closeup guys! :D

A lovely idea to start a macro thread, Dr. Harout. This thread might give us more excuses to shoot with our macro lenses. Lately mine's been mostly in its case...

Thanks,

Yildiz

Very nice silver spoons John.

Here is a close-up from down in the woods today.

Nice macro shot of snowdrop Birma. I have gone a bit more macro on one of my teaspoons - to show the hallmarks (they were made in 1895 in Sheffield). I have been trying my Tamron 90mm macro lens on my NEX 5n. The 5n is great for macro work because of the brilliant focus aids (focus peaking and focus magnification).

Thanks for the nice feedback, i used zerene stacker to stack the pictures, and i used the kit 18-55 lens with reverse tubes to take the shots.

Hi Dennis,

Impressive macro shot. I like the alien look as well....these are the full platters of nature; must look delicious to bees and bugs. : ))

Thanks for bringing their vantage point closer to us.

Nice flower closeup, Caporip. : )

Thanks for sharing,

Yildiz
