Nice one, Henry. : )
I like the Morroccan fishing boats' repetitive structures along the quay. They are almost identical each with their mast heights and curve of the hulls. Good photo angle too.

Fabulous fishing shots continue - thanks to everyone for brightening dull work days with some great pics. (I should have known I would eat my words about hand cast nets! Everyone has shots of this  .)

Yes Henry, I think since the advent of plastic floats the use of the glass ones has disappeared for the long liners, we had one here for years that we found on the beach, it had a cleverly made heavy gauge rope mesh over the outside probably to stop it getting broken when they got bumped in use in and out of the boat, I remember when I was a bit younger it wasn’t unusual to find one washed up on the beach. Someone eventually took a liking to the one we had kept around as a novelty so we gave it away and I don’t think I ever took a photo of it either. The Indian fishing photo is interesting gio67 but I’m not sure I know what they are doing exactly, it looks like a net but I can’t see any floats or lead line so it’s a bit confusing. Attachment: _ICT1513.jpg thanks greg, every tide they row out with the nets in a big semi circle probably about 150/200 mtrs and 50 mtrs wide then bring the other end in again, the men on the shore pull each end until the net is in, they always catch a lot of fish,theres maybe about 100 men involved
