Much better than any of my feeble attempts.

Very nice Dennis :) . I especially like the first one with the crater detail near to the shadow area.

Welcome to the Forum, Dennis. : )

That's a very impressive shot of the Moon. I love the well-defined details of the craters as well.

Thanks for sharing,

Yildiz

Welcome Dennis! Those moon shots are very nice indeed. I'd say they are at least as sharp as my best efforts with my Minolta 100-300 APO. John

Nice job! I prefer the second a bit. I don't really care either way about the difference in color balance, but I find the craters close to the terminator in the second a bit more interesting. Both came out very nicely though.

The side-lighting and well-chosen exposure time of the half-moon nicely shows the craters, and the steady camera work kept the image crisp. Nice images, Dennis.

Nice! I took a few 3 days ago and another last night. After only 2 days you could see so much more! Probably another 1/7th.....

It is rely difficult to get at sharp image of the moon when it´s not that high in the sky must be all the extra atmosphere thats messing it up....
