I have a hard time to decide if i want to keep the tamron or return it mainly do to the chromatic aberration that sometimes are really bad when ur using it up close on small things or things with hard contrasts, didn't thought it would be that bad...
I have a few more days to decide what to do....

That sounds frustrating Dennis - does the CA clean up easily in PP?

Dennis,

I have the Sigma 70 2.8 DG Macro EX. I am well pleased with it. I have not noticed any CA. However, I must say your shots here are very good. The Sigma is not quite as much of a telephoto as the Tamron.

Thanks,
Ron

Hi Dennis,

We had those on our little rose buds as well last year. What I did was spraying some natural soap solution diluted with water on them and they never appeared again..even this year.

Ladybugs are your friend! They love to feast on these little buggers.

Of course, introducing Ladybugs where they don't exist may constitute a problem of it's own!

An a700, an a550 and couple of a580s, plus even more lenses (Zeiss included!).

We have ladybugs but i havent seen that many this year...
I use to flush them off with the hose and it takes a few days for them to climb back up :)

Agree completely with Birma. : )

Dennis, this is a postcard shot. Very coincident colouring and action with the mood intact. A better shot would only be with the camera positioned even lower so the people in the foreground are also fuly captred so that the full mood of the entertainment is pictured. : ) Just my humble thoughts....

Thanks for sharing,

Yildiz
