I took this at 300mm on my a77 so it was more like 450mm. I took it with a Sony 70-300mm G series lens. This is one amazing lens as in large print I can make out nails on the post holding the tin top. I had to be a good 200 yards away. Wow.

A fine shot. Would love to have been there.
I believe there is the possibility to crop some of the bottom out. Still, good work.

No crop.. it contextualises where the bird really is. if the water was stiller the Bollards reflections would have rippled all the way back to the viewer
