Say hello to Gizmo, our newest family member. He's a 3 month old 'chico' Chihuahua. We had thought about calling him Yoda for the obvious similarity.
A850, Minolta 5600HS (D) and Tamron SP AF 28-75mm F2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical (first time I've used the lens).
No pp applied (out of the camera JPEGs). CS: DEEP, ISO: 100, Metering: Matrix, Focus: Spot, Flash: Fired, Format: RAW+JPEG, WB: Flash, EV: +/- 0.

Excellent details. I like the second one quite a bit.

Thanks, but these are just a couple of a short series taken. Others are on my FB page in his own photo album. They're just a few snaps of him (looks like Yoda), so not 'formal' photo's, but it was the first time I've used the lens (owned it for a while), and coupled with the fill flash and DEEP setting on the A850, I think it's fair to say the combination works very well (lovely deep colours, clarity, bokeh and sharpness) and apart from cropping, no pp was done which is a testament to both lens and body (I will work on the RAWs to see if I can eek out any further detail), but as the lens is very inexpensive, it punches far above it's weight (it would be potentially better on an APS-C body as any edge softness would be eliminated).
Glad you like, but a short intro in pictures of our new chico and everyone's amigo. Ay caramba!

I have a Sigma 28-70 f/2.8 that I am very satisfied with the quality. I haven't checked the Edge softness per se. I will try the lens on both 900 and 700 and check it out.

Gizmo doesn't care much for the camera for the moment it seems but he sure is photogenic and handsome.

I hope you're not feeding him after midnight or getting him wet!

Gizmo looks serious in the second shot.
Tony, I love the lighting. Why don't you use it and take some more shots?
