Re: Flowers 2013
Wow, nice shots Birma.
Re: Flowers 2013
Great shots Andy! Nothing grows here at the moment. Spring is yet to come.

Re: Flowers 2013
Thanks Doc and Mark - your comments are much appreciated. We had lots of sunshine all last weekend which really made it feel like spring was on the way. There crocuses were out in a local park.

Both shots grabbed, handheld with the Nex 5 and SEL 16 as it was in the car. I tried the 16 mm quite wide open and I like the slightly crazy bokeh effect, although this might not suit all tastes. I will try and pop back with a more serious rig this weekend.

Looking so fresh and fantastic, Andy.
: ) You're caught in the impulses of Spring already. Love the Snowdrops and the Crocusses.
Thanks for sharing,

Nice set Andy. I love the last one in the first set. Look forward to your "boring" flower shots.

Curly stamen on its own looks spooky like a snake. Nice shot and the background bokeh is very pleasing to me.

Re: Flowers 2013
That's lovely Sury - I like the colours and the spread of blooms across the frame. Nice Bokeh too. Which lens?
Slightly off topic, can you remind me how you got on with the Tamron 60/2 Macro on full frame?

Re: Flowers 2013
Andy, Thank you. This was CZ24-70 at 70/f2.8 ISO 800.
Though I have not used much recently, the Tamron 60/f2 and
I got along very famously. I have about 200-300 images with
that combination. You can browse them on my flickr site
http://www.flickr.com/photos/bigsur/. They are in sets.
Please let me know if you have access permissions. I changed
them to public few minutes ago.

Please note that most of these are straight from the camera and
no PP was done. Usually the title would suggest if some tweaks
are performed.
With best regards,
Sury

Re: Flowers 2013
You're right, that's some crazy bokeh in the first shot. I like the second overall for its composition using the wide angle lens to good effect.Birma wrote:Both shots grabbed, handheld with the Nex 5 and SEL 16 as it was in the car.
