Sury, that's a real nice field of flowers--good use of focus.

Love the lighting and colours in those Sury. I really don't this sort of temptation for another lens! :)

It was a beautiful day yesterday and I was hoping to grab some shots of flowers. Unfortunately we discovered that mice have taken up residence in the loft and garage, and so a major clear-up and investigation was required which took all day in the end. The Pest Control man is booked for Tuesday.

I love the lens Doc. But 24-70 stays on the camera for most of the time. I am trying
to figure out when and where I would use the 24f2.

I understand perfectly your dilemma. the 24 on the APS-c was more versatile than it is now on FF.
Nevertheless I never complain using it.
Anyway, it's quite easier for me to opt for the 2/24 as I don't have the 24-70 ZA. And then I'm more of a prime lens user than a zoom.

I agree. I got some great shots with 24f2 on a700 with CUL tacked to front.
I have no regrets about the lens itself. I am trying to figure out a way to use it.
That lens is making me think in directions I did not consider before, like visiting
the Chapel in Stanford University. That one has some great glass work. Now it is
coming down to having time. I am having greater success with 70-400 and birds
in flight. My next project is interior architectures using 24f2. :D

with best regards,
Sury

Spring is properly here once the Blackthorn blossom is out :) . These shots are from a small tree in the hedge of a garden just up the road from me. It is always one of the very first Blackthorns to come in to blossom. A very cheery sight in the cold breeze there was today.

Andy,
I love the second one. First one seems to have been tad overexposed on my monitor.

Thanks Sury :) . I'll have to check that first one. I was pretty sure that the histogram was ok. Good to see spring progressing in California.

Those are really beautiful close ups Gio67. Great colours.

The second one is fabulous Gio67. I have not seen that lattice like structure in a flower before.
The first one epitomizes how delicate a flower is and can be.

Many nice pictures. I'm a bit jelous of the blooming on the other parts of the world. We had a bit of spring, then winter captain came back. The forest is covered by snow as well as the spring flowers came out last week, but the sunshine and the clear sky was promising. Few photos from today:
