From among the countless buttercups in the meadow at sunrise this one caught my eye.

I like the cactus flower (and the extra flowers around it) ValeryD
There doesn’t seem to be a single Bluebell in that particular field Birma, yet where they do grow they are just as prolific as buttercups, it’s a one or the other deal it seems.
Great depth of field you contrived there agorabasta, and a great subject whatever it is, very pretty.

Thanks Greg - yes, early morning sunshine of course.

Here is a tiny variety of Forget Me Not I found while crawling around in the wet grass :)

Another Green Winged Orchid. This particular meadow did not have many of these and the one it did have were a bit wee. The surrounding grass gave a nice backdrop.

A dull morning today but isn't this meant to be better for macro work?

The first of the Common Spotted Orchids for me this year.

A fantastically untidy looking flower, Ragged Robin :) .

Both with A99 and Tamron 90. (I had a lot of CA today but LR cleans up very easily.)

The tiny Forget Me Not is cool Birma I was wondering how small it actually is, it does look tiny.
The grass looks like its blowing bubbles, lots of dew you get there. The pretty Common Spotted Orchid has an amazing amount of buds and flowers for an Orchid variety that grows wild.
Yet another different and interesting wild flower the Ragged Robin.
Great bokeh in all. :)

Thanks Greg and JB :)

Greg, the Forget Me Not flowers are about 3mm a across. The garden variety is all showy flowers but this wild meadow variety is easily over looked. I only spotted these as I got down on the ground to look at the orchids.

Another of the Common Spotted Orchids, this time with a sibling in the background.

Second are Oxeye Daisies. These have sprung up in the last week and several road sides are covered in swathes of them.

Three mm Birma wow that’s a seriously small flower, the Spotted Orchid twin is great with the defocused one in the background, the Daisies are nice but are they a tad over exposed do you think?

Thanks Greg :) You may be right on the white petals on the previous Oxeye Daisies. Hope this one is slightly better.

A wider shot of the many wild flowers in the meadow. Buttercups, Hawk's-beard, Bird's-foot-trefoil, Red Clover, Common Spotted Orchids and many different grasses.

Nice Birma, you get pretty flowers and orchids and we get weeds, both of these go berserk along the outside, some kind of dandelions I think.

I like the look of your pink 'weed' - I bet that will look great when its out - especially if there are a lot of them together.
