It is not an especially popular means of transportation up here. Walking is far more popular, and the scooter owners seem to have them more as an accessory or a super-occasional utility. I rarely see one in use, and they only appear parked in areas where the apartments are too small for families, and too near the clubs, so I assume they belong to young singles.mvanrheenen wrote:@Kevin: is the scooter a popular method of transportation where you live? Here it's especially popular with teenagers and people who work in very crowded areas (like I do).

It's a somewhat guarded smile you captured, Sury, but she is very radiant!

At first I didn't know what you were talking about, and then I searched my own photos for black and whites and, sure enough, they're there:

I have this strange drive since last week to enjoy art of the abstract, minimalist or cubist movements. Somehow it's kind of soothing and relaxing for me. This does reflect in my photography. Did some abstracts of bark today. I can imagine this is not everyones cup of tea, but it's mine at the moment.

Both shot with the a580, Tamron 90mm macro, handheld. Both are at ISO3200. As you can see, the a580 handles that very nicely (with some PP help of course ).

Hey! I thought you said you've been married for 25 years! Is this one of those arranged Indian marriages where you're married when you're 3?sury wrote:She is more reluctant and camera shy than my daughter. It was a rare moment that she is relaxed

Nice B/W shots by all. Great shot of the Shard in London caporip. That sherpard seems completely unfazed by your presence Doc.. You really have him in his element.

I actually greeted him there by wandering down the hill in the rain to find him and Ian seeking shelter from the rain in Pike Place Market.
