Don't know if this goes for a "portrait".

Cropped from 3:2 to 4:3. I think it works better this way.

OK. It is more of a profile than a portrait. When did it stop us? Nice colors.

the_hefay, I like the minimal contrast. It adds to the mood of the shot.
A bright image conveying a not so bright mood, in my mind.

I agree with sury. The lack of contrast and the white haze do a lot for the atmosphere in the shot. I don't know which emotion you wanted to depict, but I sense a bit of despair and loneliness in it. This could be enhanced if the composition showed a bit wider angle with more of the open sea/empty beach in it. It's no critique, just my 2 centa, for what they are worth.

Nice set Richard. Looks like all of them are nature lovers. By the way, what is a Tor?
Is there a music festival or something unique about the place? I heard about Glastonbury
but can't recall what it was about Glastonbury that rings familiar.
The second and third conveys the impression that they were taken soon after Sun rise
and they are enjoying the warmth while it is still cool/cold.

with best regards,
Sury

Cheers Sury, Tor is an old (very) name for a hill or bulging rock. Glastonbury Tor was originally an island and is considered by some to have mystical connections.

Andy,
Thank you. Now I remember. There is a music channel on TV and have seen program title containing that name.
