Most if not all photographers, beginners, amateurs or professionals alike shoot portraits. So, let us show some of our works.
This is a portrait of a parking man, in fact a very humorous person unlike its photo

Great idea for a thread, and a good starter for us Doc. Fabulous detail and a great expression

Very nice portrait shot, Doc. Did he freeze for the camera or was it one of those
candid shots?

Thanks Andy & Sury
It's just that I had to bow a bit to get at his height...

Re: Exhibit Portrait shots
I just got my first digital camera. That lovely gem of Dimage A1. I was less than
50 shots into it. I barely knew the difference between shutter and aperture.
My wife 10 years ago. She still is a beauty. I think this one is in camera B&W.

More nice portraits and interesting they are mirroring the the B&W thread
Why are B&W so popular for portraits? Is it something to do with how we recognise human faces?

Re: Exhibit Portrait shots
Or could it be that we recognize in color and therefore the allure for B&W, Andy?

Re: Exhibit Portrait shots
Nice to see street photography as well as studio stuff!
Here's a set up studio shot using an octobox, beauty dish and snoot, from a few weeks ago. Virtually no post processing except for a couple of tweaks/clean up/B/W conversion.

Very nice Pat - an interesting study. I like the lighting of the hair. Another interesting take on portraits, but still all B&W

Re: Exhibit Portrait shots
I love the light gradient from top to bottom. I presume that was by design.
I am curious if the decorative beads on her face are just that or have some
symbolism.
With best regards,
Sury
