Monterey, California

Unread post by sury »

This is the lone Cypress Tree on 17 mile drive between Monterey and Carmel, California.
This drive is on the development that also has Pebble Beach and Spy Glass golf courses.
Taken in 2010, December. Sun is setting, it was a cold but relatively clear day and evening.
Images were tweaked in LR3.

Looking South/South East towards coast.

Image

Looking west. Vertical and Horizontal orientation. The third is cropped to the right.

Very nice Sury. I like the way the light is catching the rock in the first, and there are some nice sunset colours in the the final two :)
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

Amazing colors sury! I really like the first image for composition and vibrance of color, although some of the blue in the sea look more like "candy blue" than natural colors.

Thank you Andy and Mark. I see what you mean Mark regarding the "candy blue" waters. I think it is
my heavy handed post processing. How about this one?

I like the trees at sunset. Have you also been to Pt. Lobos? When I lived in Silicon Valley in the 1980s and 1990s I often went to Pt. Lobos. Great place.

Much better. Looks more natural this way sury, with exception being the upper left corner. Still a bit too "Smurf" for me ;-)

You won't hear me commenting about rampaging Smurfs on this one sury!

If the forum had a worshipping smiley, it would be yours for this one. Love the image!
