Love the b&w vignette treatment. Conveys the time bygone.

That's interesting dock architecture-wise as well as the great boats, Graeme. The building on the right with the pitched roof and the other modern background structures make for a good, controversial backdrop to these ships/boats, vintage design ones at that. : )

Yildiz, the building on the right is the Riverside Museum, designed by architect Zaha Hadid to house Glasgow's Museum of Transport collection. The building has won design awards, and the collection is the European Museum od the year 2013. Anyone visiting the city should make sure the visit it.

The ships are two of Glasgow's floating museum pieces, the Glenlee having a 110 year history as a cargo clipper, and sail training ship. It is open to the public. The PS Waverley is the last ocean going paddle steamer in the world, and is still in use, cruising the river, and the Clyde coast each summer. It is a very popular attraction, and is kept seaworthy by donations, ticket sales, and an army of volunteer supporters.

I thought I should post a picture of something that is still floating, for a change!

Thank you for the info, Graeme. : ) I am actually familiar with the museum structure and the starchitect Zaha Hadid's many award-winning, distinctive, architectural designs around the world. The new museum building did a lot for the recognition of the region as an invaluable touristical and cultural destination. She designed the museum's pitched roof lines reminiscent of the conventional roofs of traditional buildings, such as the churches and row townhouses as can be traced on the waterfront facade of glass.

I'm glad you're aware of what you're shooting. :D Makes it all the more worthy to study your photos.
Well, as for world's last paddle steamer and the Glenlee, I think they make for excellent attractions. I must, one day be aboard these vessels also. : ))

Thank you once again.

Just wondeful, Marc. : )

Serene sea and very picturistic clouds to add to the beauty of the tallship and boat. Must be nice standing in the breeze, standing on the deck to shoot as well.
