Graeme, that is a great shot.

Congratulations on the recognition of the photo as a Point Of View also. : ) Good angle, definitely. The museum and the river looks neat when all the riding happens. Very colourful too.

Thanks for sharing,

Continues to be a wonderful and inspirational thread. I particularly like Marc's shot with the bowsprit heading toward the beautiful calm horizon - I can almost smell the sea air and feel the breeze! Congrats. to Graeme on having your photo picked - it really is an action shot.

Not sure if I have posted this before, but here is one of my earliest digital photos from 2003. Taken from an upper floor window in Oban, Scotland, as the MV Lord of of the Isles sails in to the harbour.

We had a great time thanks.
Highlights were on the road to Mallaig. Cream teas on the shore at Arisaig and the beaches were just superb.
We'd love to go back again soon.

This panorama was taken from the Ardnamurchan lighthouse looking west. The strip of light and rays were just amazing but as you can tell I darkened the sky a little!

It truly is God's Own Country. The only thing it lacks is a desert, and I suppose Cumbernauld is a pretty good substitute!

Or the sand dunes at Balmedie where Trump built his golf course, looks like a desert.
When we walk there I can just imagine John Mills hand cranking an army ambulance up the dune (Ice Cold In Alex). :)

I don't know Balmedie, but the beach between Burghead and Kinloss could pass for that too, even with the old pillboxes!

We've not been on that section of beach but watch out for things glowing in the dark. Apparently a lot of old aircraft dials were dumped and mildly radio active particles have been found close to Kinloss. The beach at Lossie is also very good.
