Andy,
That one is serylic (I made the adjective by combining serene and idyllic - thank you  ).

I love the first one Scott. I am ambivalent about the second one. On one hand,
I find the electric wires tad distracting, on the other hand, the neat way they run
across the photo is growing on me.

I know what you mean - at any other time I would have walked into the field and changed the angle slightly but on this occasion I would have had to have used a boat to get there :-)

Thanks Sury :)

It sure is nice to see some clear skies Scott. I also usually try to avoid power lines but there's is no reason really. They are very strong graphic shapes.

Sury, I sure wish it was the same, but it only has micro usb. Eventually they will come up with something, at least one can hope, as I love shooting star trails :D

Love the misty Sequoia wood Darin :)

That is an epic looking hole Doc! The figure really shows just how big it is. It looks like an entry to another world. Is that a waterfall at the back?

Birma, yes it's a waterfall and according to Wiki it's a 255m fall (837 ft).
Sury, yes we've spent the New Year there. I am still processing the images, that's why no pictures here at PCA yet.

Birma, the 12mm sure seems like a very fitting perspective. I'm not sure what it is, but I keep going back and looking (or rather staring) just to see what it is about it that captivates me.

Scott, love the stars and windmill shot.

Darin, normally I don't like board walks in a photo, but it really works well in the snow and trees shot.

Dr. Harout, that hole is unreal. I've got to go see that thing sometime. I love natural bridges and waterfalls and here's both in a epic hole.

Sury, I guess this does quality as SoCal, we recently moved to Three Rivers just outside SNP, originally from Mount Shasta on the north end of the state. The person in the Baatara pothole really gives a great sense of scale!

Thanks Hefay :) . It is a great spot with wonderful views. It is very popular with dog walkers and I meet lots of dogs and their owners every time I go there. It is obviously also popular when people are thinking of where they'd liked their mortal remains to spend eternity as it has a lot of memorials and wreaths across the hill top. In fact my wife's Grandfather's ashes were scattered here.

Here is another 12mm view from the same spot, but looking back at the hill, rather than in to the sun.

I can see why it would be a popular place to consider for memorials and such.

Great shot of that hole Doc and with a figure to give it scale!

Sunburst over Canterbury.
