No problem, we're not as picky as other communities are.

2 starving birds in the cold, glad we're sharing the Chickens treats.

Taken thru a dirty picture window, and on the laptop monitor I can't tell if I made this too light or not.

Dusty, brightness is fine, but contrast is the problem (too low IMHO)

Yes, now that I'm on a real monitor I see that. On the laptop it looked different at every angle! I don't think the dirty picture window helped any with the contrast!

How's this one?

Saw another bald eagle. This one sitting on top of a sprinkler. I guess he didn't want me to stop and take his picture.

It has been a little while since I posted anything on the forum and it is a great surprise to me that I have some shots of birds that I thought worth posting here. They are not usually a subject I would attempt to shoot (I don't have the equipment, skill or patience to do it seriously) but on a recent tour of Sri Lanka I came back with a few half decent shots. These are probably the best of the bunch.

All shot with A77 + 70-300mm G

Those are cracking shots Ossie :) ! Great, vibrant colours and I love the eye contact with the bird in the first one.

Ossie, those are some very good captures. I really like the very first little bird staring you down and the one of the heron flying off with it's meal.
