Few from underwater

Unread post by Marcell Nikolausz »

Yesterday the summer came back a bit and I used the opportumity to visit a lake I always wanted to explore underwater. I think I found my new favorite diving spot. The water was clear and the lights were really good. I used a nex-5 with the 16mm lens in a cheap housing (with external strobe):

All wonderful shots Marcell and they are so unusual as well. I especially like the picture of the Pike. It looks like it is sizing you up to decide if it will eat you or not! :)
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

Thanks Birma,
The pike was really big and let me close but gave up and swam away after a while.

These are great shots! I really like the way the light rays are coming through the water in the 2nd picture.

Nice shots Marcell! Having tested a simple underwater housing for my Nex-5N, I can say that underwater photography is really challenging. Not only one is practically without light in just few meters and housing makes very akward handling for the camera. Not to mention that one is diving at the same time. I like the pike as well. Nice point of view.
