I should add too some picture to this nice collection :) I used fisheye for shots and bend the road... It's same road on left and right on the picture
Manitoba.

Valery,
Nice composition. I would not have realized it is the same road had you not mentioned it.
I am curious how the same shot would look like, if the road behind you is also included (if possible
to re-shoot).

Thank you! I'll try some day to make same shot with a fisheye lens. :)

I know. :D The point was not lost. How many images were stitched?
If you can get the whole field, may be you even try macro stacking. :)

Tried to make a vertical panorama of the Milky Way, and this is my first attempt to get the Milky Way. Think i went pretty well.

It´s made of 8 pictures stacked in Microsoft´s ICE software.
Sony a99 with Ziess 24-70 lens
ISO 4000, 15sec, F/2,8, 24mm

The ruin in the bottom is from 900AD and is called Rytterne kyrkruin ( Rytterne Church ruin )

That is out of this world, Dennis. I would have been happy just to get a Milkyway image, let alone
a panorama. Did you take 15sec single shots or stacked? What is your post processing flow? Very curious
to know.

Spectacular. I feel very small after viewing that image.

Glad you guys liked it, it´s 8 pictures stitched together from bottom to the top, i have maybe 30% overlay to get a better chance for the program to find where to link the images.

Used mircosoft ICE software and loaded the ARW files into it and had some trouble to get it get put the images in the right way, when done in ICE saved it like a TIFF and in to lightroom to bring out the stars and lighten up the ruin and darken the field a bit.

the bottom ARW file looked like this straight out the camera. Looks very dull but it´s easy to bring out the stars if they are there :)
