Great shots Jeff and Barry. Here is one from Alaska. The somewhat elevated green berm you see is the train track that
goes from Anchorage to Seward. What that berm did was to create a barrier to the fresh water flowing into Turnagain armhttp://www.alaska.org/guide/turnagain-arm-drive
. Consequently the barrier created a fresh water marsh that
became home to very many birds. Here is one example of progress creating a new opportunity for Nature to nourish.
